I wrote a poem about what it's like to be able to see, for the unsighted, would it be insulting to share it here? (self.Blind)

If others consider it to be insulting, you will be downvoted. Post it.

I suppose it would depend upon two things: 1) the content/attitude of your poem and 2) the receptivity of your audience. I'd certainly be willing to look at it, if you'll pardon the pun. I always love a good poem and having things described to me.

I did end up posting it:

I love it! You make a lot of use of synesthesia, meaning overlapping sensations, in order to conceptualize color, etc. I actually have synesthesia, so this makes total sense to me ... oh no, I just punned. But seriously, great work. Do you have a deviantART page? I'd love to connect with you on there. http://MelissaRaye.deviantart.com

Indeed, my approach was to analogize sight to the other senses in an apt way--synesthaesia is an accurate description for that!

I do, actually, though I don't go on there too often these days :) I see you're a writer too, though my deviations are all photos and manips right now. But here's me :)

I'll add you! :) I'm always looking for new friends on there. I also do a tiny bit of visual art, myself. :)
