Quick tip I've learned as a low-vision redditor: Get RES and switch to 'night mode'. It's high-ish contrast but pics/videos are still the same. (self.Blind)

Hey, low-vision redditor:
I came to /r/blind because I have questions for people with low or no vision. I myself am pretty well-sighted, and enjoy seeing, and wonder how the world is for someone who is less sighted than I am. Every day I have hundreds of little visual joy-reminders, like sun and color and perspective. Joy for me in a good story can come in through television, for example, which tickles my sense of seeing as well as my ears because there are so many visual cues in the set, the lighting, the blocking, the body acting that I worry for my less-sighted friends: are they enjoying this as much as I am?

I have no idea what they think of these things, I'm not them. But as for myself, I can see well enough to watch TV and stuff if I'm close and I do enjoy it.

Also,
> ... and enjoy seeing

I really don't think that needs to be stated. I've never met anybody who doesn't.
