So yesterday i saw a blind man who was using his iphone but the screen was black. (self.Blind)
submitted by moerker
He had his earphones in, so he propably used voice over, but his screen was totally black.
But he was doing 2 and 3 finger flicks and stuff and i was wondering what he was doing.
anyone got a clue?

Probably just using voice over with the screen down to save battery. Voice over is still controlled by touch/gestures like normal iphone interface. Swipe to move to the next thing, double-tap to select, etc.

There is a screen blinds feature on the iphone, i dont remember the name of it, but it dims the screen so it does not disturb others, but the phone still responds to touches.

It's called screen curtain - when you turn it on it says "screen curtain on." On my iPod touch it's three taps on the screen with VO on, not sure about the new iOs though. :)
