I was diagnosed about a year ago with retinitis pigmentosa, so I've been making strides to prepare for my future blind life. I have been able to find a course on learning grade 1 Braille, but all the books at my local library (and they're only kids books) are in the shortform grade 2 print.
Does anyone know of a resource where I can learn to read grade 2 Braille?

Have you gotten ahold of your local Blind Association? That is the sort of thing at which they excel. Assuming you are in the states. If not, you must seek out your country's services for the blind.

Yep, in the U.S. I'd suggest the NFB - it's the largest organization, they have good chapters in every state, and great resources available.
It'd really help to know how old you are (approximately), and whether you're in school, working, or whatever.

Hadley School for the Blind $1 has braille courses completely online. They have a bunch of other stuff too which may or may not be helpful to you at this point.
