Hadley School for the Blind offers free online braille courses for adults. That will all be English. You can download sim braille fonts from the Duxbury website and use your keyboard like a braillewriter to practice, though it won't be identical. I know the US Library of Congress offers a free course too, but that one is waaay more involved and less user-friendly. I'd say Hadley would be the most accessible (though I have no idea whether there is any limitation on who takes the courses). Otherwise, you can look at the AFB and NFB websites. The way we all learned it in grad school was with the Ashcroft textbook. It's not the easiest book to obtain, but it is a *very* thorough course geared toward adults. Sorry if this post sucks- I'm really tired right now. =)
If you want me to elaborate further on anything, I will. Just let me know!
