I've just looked up /blind and found this place in reddit. I don't understand this;.: .. .: ::. .: :.. :::. .... Is there a reason that's there? It kind of seems silly to me.

It's a representation in braille. From what I've heard, it's only readable in Firefox.

It's some kind of artwork, I think. A dotted line, maybe? Agreed, I wish it wasn't there; especially in the blind sub, we should be universally accessible. That means the ASCII art has gotta go.

I'm pretty sure that's a visual representation of braille in some way. I don't know why though.
