What does the " .: .. .: ::. .: :.. :::. ... " on the right sidebar here mean ?(self.Blind)

It looks like braille text, but on checking the braille alphabet, it doesn't seem to make any sense.
It doesn't seem to match any of the alphabets. I assume it is just random. Is it ?

This was actually their before I ame. I will remove it.

I went through the same process after a post about it a couple of days ago. I ran it through every version of braille I could find a chart for like you did. I began thinking the letters might have been written sideways or something, so I tried left, right, and even upside down.
At this point, I'm pretty sure it's there to look "braille like" and is utter nonsense.

It looks like it is only colons and full stops randomly put there

yep, pretty sure that's all it is.

I will tell you that it's strange and confusing for screen readers. But then, there are many, many things on the web that are strange and confusing for screen readers, and 99% of them can be safely ignored. So while I think this one should go away, especially on /r/blind, I just can't be bothered to actually stress out or, you know, try and get anything done about it.

Understood. I removed it a couple weeks ago. Not sure who posted it.

hmm ... that was supposed to be braille in unicode characters ?
Not sure if it works for anyone else - it shows up as just boxes in my old computer.

It shows up in firefox but not chrome for some reason. It's always been that way for me with braille text.

Cool. I just checked in Firefox and it works for me. Seems Firefox is supporting unicode. Looks like I'll have to switch back to Firefox from Chrome.

Yah it's very odd, I've even tried specifically telling chrome to use different versions of unicode (more-tools -> encoding) and no luck. It's annoying that I have to keep FF on my computer just so that I can read the wikipedia page for english braille when I can't remember a contraction
