How do I help a blind user get past the Reddit capchas (self.Blind)
submitted 8y ago by freebird84
Reddit has capchas for posting, commenting, and sending private messages.

My friend is totally blind and lives alone. My wife helped me get a message to the admins, and they fixed my account so I wouldn't need to fill out the capchas, but my friend doesn't have anyone to help him. Is there an email address I can send him? I'm sure if he can get ahold of the administrators, they will fix his account as well.

I'm late getting to this one, but if you give him gold, I believe it will get him past the CAPTCHA. At least, when I became a gold subscriber, all the CAPTCHAs went away. I still get the "you're doing that too much, please wait forever" message though.

I use a Firefox addon called Webvism or something like that. Once installed, just right click on the image and it solves it for you.

Captchas are getting ridiculous. My boyfriend is low vision and he sent me his login information for the presidents choice points app because he couldn't figure the captcha out. My vision is close to 20/20 corrected and I couldn't read the damn thing. I ended up using the audio prompt [he couldn't see where the button was because it was so faded out] and even that was almost unintelligible. It's a ridiculous system has gone way too far

Easiest way: go help with thst captcha thing. All captchas suck. Audio as well.
One time help - and officially you "forget" your friendʻs handle. But if he/she/they grt bullied, help.
