What I wouldn't give to have a thunderbolt port placed behind my ear and have connected directly to my visual cortex so I can freely use my computers again visually… bypass the optic nerve entirely and have a completely immersive experience.

You never know, in the future the implant might indeed be in the brain and not the eye. Might not help people like myself whos lack of sight is down to brain damage (stroke) but it's a great start nonetheless.
