The first episode of my let's play channel "Games For Everybody" where I provide physical descriptions of what's going on. Curious to hear some feedback on it. (youtube.com)

Thank you for this, this is exactly what I'm looking for! I used to be an extremely extensive gamer before losing my vision, and subsequently missed out on quite a lot of games I was heavily interested in. Would you have any plans to extend your description Playthru's out to games like the borderlands 2 pre-sequel and the last of us? I think Bastian would be a fantastic game to describe as the soundtrack is wonderful.

Unfortunately I don't have a PS3 or PS4 so I can't play The Last of Us. It's a great game too. I could definitely do Bastion. I haven't looked into Borderlands 2 the Pre-Sequel but I'll do some research. Mostly I want to do lots of old-school Japanese RPGs with no voice acting. My next plan is probably Chrono Trigger or Skies of Arcadia.

Krono trigger would be amazing! I haven't played that game since I was a kid and I don't think I ever actually beat it.

Oh, undertale! Been hearing a lot about this game in various communities I frequent. Good choice!

You're doing a really good job at giving enough description, while still keeping the game moving.

Huh. A combat free puzzle RPG where the main character is a young child? Interesting! And not what I was expecting. Nice.

Can't watch the video rn because I'm at school but what console do you play on? If you play 360 or pc I would love to collaborate.
Fournote [OP] 1 points 7y ago
PC all the way. I used to really be into consoles but there are so many good games that are cross platform now that I use PC only. And yeah, collaborating sounds like fun. What games did you have in mind, and what do you think would be a good way to collaborate? I've never done it before.

I watched your video and I realized it doesnt work with my games. I play action games and describing all the action can be hard especially because My games are more graphics intensive and some blind people might not understand whats going on even if told. Undertale and other slow moving games arent really my jam.

That's okay. Everyone's got their preferences.

I have CSGO, Gmod, and CoD W@W. I can also get any F2P. I have a really shitty pc so some games might not run well. I have 48 subs but I've been thinking of posting more and I have no clue what to do. My steam link: www.steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198133099801

Questions. I read that Undertale was made in 2013. If that's the case, what's up with the 8 bit music and sounds? This is the first time I've heard about this game, so maybe I'm missing something haha. Overall though, this is a really cool idea of yours! You have a nice voice, not like the stereo typical nerdy Youtubers voice, haha. Nice amount description and good job keeping the audio on the bit of the louder side, since that what we use the most haha. What other games do you have in mind? I read that you want to do more of Japanese style RPG's, but maybe one day you'll consider branching off, that way you can reach a wider audience. I'm not a huge fan of the sounds in the game, but I do like what you've got going. Subscribed and commented on your video. Looking forward to more :).

To go into a little more detail about the 8-bit: Nowadays, indie developers are getting more into making games with engines that require a lot less time and expertise. 8-bit, 16-bit, side-scrollers, top-down, text-based, and point-and-click are rising in popularity. This allows a small development team to focus their energy on story, characters, music, ambiance, game balance, and level design. They can bring their vision to life without blowing their entire budget on textures and shaders.

A great example of this would be FTP, which is a top-down strategy game where the player controls a spaceship. Visually, it's very underwhelming; it's low-resolution with almost no textures to speak of. But its massive popularity comes from being very rewarding despite the difficulty and randomness of it, its excellent soundtrack, and how smoothly the combat flows.

Oh wow, that makes a lot of sense.
Fournote [OP] 1 points 7y ago
Yeah, it was released fairly recently. The game is actually 8 bit. It was made with game maker and is a homage to old games like Earthbound. As for other games, only time will tell.

Oh, gotcha, that's pretty neat.
