I just followed the wrong man at the grocery store for 10 minutes, thinking he was my husband. (self.Blind)

I needed to share this with people who would understand. I'm laughing about it, but I'm still pretty embarrassed.

I was following my husband by his very bright, royal-blue shirt. To me, he just looks like a blue blob without much definition, but it's enough that I can follow him from 2-3 meters back. I was picking items, and my husband had skipped ahead with the kids a little bit (or so I thought). I was following him as he picked things, always about 2 meters back, smiling at him periodically when he would turn around. I was wondering why he kept racing ahead until I got close enough to realize that I'd been following the wrong blue blob in the dairy/meat section. I followed this guy for a solid 10 minutes. This poor guy probably is still wondering who the stalker was. It took me about 10 minutes to find real-Husband at a totally different spot in the store.

Oops.

I've done this too, albeit not with a husband! I followed a random woman through ikea asking her why we were looking at lamps!

My brother likes to disappear in the gym some days. I'll panic for a few seconds, then laugh when I finally find him. Partial blindness sucks but you gotta learn to laugh at yourself..

my partially blind mom has gotten in the wrong car a couple of times, thinking it's my dad waiting for her. you'd think she'd learn to say hi before sitting her butt down in the seat... alas.
