Android Or Apple (self.Blind)
submitted by GuideDogAndHisQueer
I am using android (Samsung) talk back. I am having a few problems accessing menus etc . I am thinking off changing over to Apple. I have been told Apple voice over is better. I would be grateful for any feedback.😎

My completely blind father in law has been a cell-phone enthusiast since the nineties. He has had dozens of Androids by now. He used to buy, root, play with, and then sell Androids pretty regularly. He liked trying them all and always having the next best thing. He got an iPhone about a year ago and hasn't touched an Android since. It's the longest that he's ever had the same phone. He says it's much easier for him.

Having been trained in using both, iPhones and voiceover wins hands-down in every way. It's much more robust, and is much more well integrated with the operating system along with being universally functional across all iOS and macOS devices. It's much faster than android and definitely much more well-designed; talkback really feels like it has been engineered with no user experience focus applied to its actual use. Voiceover will definitely give you much less headaches and less RSI since it doesn't have any stupid multi-directional gesture actions.

Thanks everyone it looks like I'm changing to voice over. I thought it was me not getting the hang of talk back but everyone seems to have the same problem with it.
