I have Stargardts (legally blind) AMA! (self.Blind)

i have stargardts which is macular degeneration where the retina basically falling apart. As me anything about it or being legally blind.

My wife had Stargardt's as well. How do you deal with eye checkups? She keeps getting bounced around and her "opthalmologists" never know what to do.
Also what's your experience with finding work? My wife worked as a barista briefly and had to memorize the placement on the register and was excellent at her job... But no one else will hire her because of the partial blindness.
