https://www.reddit.com/r/Blind/wiki/faq/blind< if you cant https://www.reddit.com/r/Blind/wiki/faq/sighted < if you can see these are the FAQs. I'm not blind myself, I just recently found the subreddit and thought it was a fun idea to help other people who where new.

Welcome, and thanks for helping out! I think we've got three posts asking this same question today. I'm considering creating a "how do blind people use Reddit?" sticky megathread and removing any other thread that asks this question. On one hand, it would reduce duplication in the sub, and make things easier for the regulars. On the other hand, removing the first thread created by someone in the sub and linking them to a megathread just feels extremely unfriendly. As a new user, what are your thoughts? Also asking /u/Dthnider_RotMG. If your thread got removed and someone linked you somewhere else, would you leave and never come back? That's not the objective! :-)

Not at all! If I were in your position, I'd do the same thing. Just remember to link the stickied thread...
Thanks for not flaming me!

OK, we now have an official megathread for this question: https://www.reddit.com/r/Blind/comments/55wzgp/how_do_blind_people_use_reddit/
And...the regulars are so sick of this they're downvoting my sticky! LOL!

I'm sorry that I couldn't answer fast. I was going to tell you that I would be glad to help around the subreddit. Also, I *might* be able to ask for information about blindness to my mother, who is a nurse and works with a man who is blind and helps children learn how to live with their blindness.

yeah, sorry >.< i'm blinder than you guys...

I have a little nit-pick about the way the FAQ is phrased.
Saying "most blind people can read print and might use zoomtext" and then saying "people completely without sight, however, must use a screen reader" might give off the impression that screen readers are only for people who are completely blind and that only a tiny minority of blind people ever use a screen reader.
"People with some vision might use..." and "people with any level of vision can use..." or something like that might work better, I think.

I upvoted it so there are hopefully less posts with that question!

Actually, it's linked right in the welcome sticky. And the $1 is also linked in the sidebar.

My bad. Thanks.

NVDA is what they use. I've seen a demonstration on it, it's like narrator but way easier to use.
