What are your hobbies? Am looking for inspiration because I have debilitating headaches and it will be a while before surgery and am looking for something non sight related and preferably quiet (self.Blind)

I like to crochet or knit. You could also learn Braille. Aside from the pain, the boredom is the worst part of migraines for me. Three days of pain and nothing to distract from it is hell.

There are some places you can buy instruction books and cds, like the nfb website. There might also be an instructor near you. I'd suggest googling it since I'm not entirely sure how it works outside of a blind services center.

Listening to audio books (One's done by the book author, not TTS speech engines) and nature sounds has helped me get through my worse of days.

I first prepair a cup of hot herbal tea. Get situated in my favorite reclining chair. Put my Bose headphones on and navigate to a nature sound (Driving rain storm is my favorite) or locate a good audio book on TuneIn Radio (Have a premium membership) using my iPod Touch)

Then I recline, relax and listen, while sipping on my hot tea. All my problems just melt away and I feel like a million bucks a few hours later. You may want to give that a try.

Is there any free audio books apps/sites?

Your idea is the best imo tho ;p

I've gone on subreddit adventure, found this post and got interested in the audiobook comment you made

For AudioBooks your local library most likely has something called OverDrive. Over Drive is basically a library but for eBooks and Audio books but it's completely online. My library has TONS of AudioBooks. Most of the time you can find books on YouTube.

Most books aren't available for me, found it and tried it after I left you a comment.

Closed my account minute after that.

Are there any that I can download for offline use? since where I will be going I won't have net

PS: Local library doesn't know anything about OverDrive, they are few centuries behind ;p

You could always use a YouTube down loader. Are there any specific books you're looking for?
