I personally enjoy it when my screen reader reads the text on the screen. Nah, all joking aside, I use to love making funny noises with my screen reader when I was a kid. Now it's just rather annoying and immature.

Plus ten years ago, everyone in the world used eloquence. Now, good luck getting a funny noise that works on ESpeak, VoiceOver, Eloquence, Nuance, etc.

You just can't beat the classics. Roflcopter soi soi soi soi soi. Enjoy the soy sauce.

Personally, I really enjoy it when people build in the appropriate chirping announcement noise that lets voiceover users know that content on the webpage or app page has changed when it's a single page app.

is there a common sound people use for this? and when it happens do they move your browser focus to the top of the page or leave where it is?

It's not a common sound, it's native to the voiceover screen reader and gets called out on webpages using some simple Aria code and a very simple VoiceOver announcement attribute added in Swift for iOS/MacOS applications.

I love the scrolling up and down sounds made by Google's Talk Back when navigating a list.
