I absolutely loved this Radio Lab short on a debate between two blind men and how they perceive the world (radiolab.org)

While I can appreciate both perspectives, and really admire John Hull and his speaches and writing, I love Zoltan's approach. I love that he still fixes his gutters and repairs the roof tiles. I come from a very handy family. We remodeled my entire house. My childhood home was one we built from the ground up, while we lived in a trailer next to it.
Apart from that, I too am an incredibly visual person. I think, if I go blind, I will choose to keep "seeing" the world as Zoltan does.
