Dreams: depends on your past. If you could see before, you supposedly keep seeing in your dreams after too. (My dreams are mostly devoid of visuals, or blurry, ot just color. Other senses are strong, and i've read braille and used a cane in dreams)
Benefits: you learn to listen and focus. Also not judging people from looks
What would be meat of people got it: i have no clue who you are so if you see me somewhere tell me who you are and where you know me from. "Hi, I'm bob, your neighbor". Most people don't have a very distinctive voice so until I recognize you and your context i have no clue who you are. If i meet you in a usual location i might recognize you but if it's out of context, not a chance.
Color: depends on person. I saw correct pretty well and colors too but some colors are impossible. Green and yellow are easier, blue either looks like black or gray or makes me nauseous. I don't care that much what color something is or if it clashes with something (it depends on culture), so i guess or go with gut of use a color id app. I kind of discard color info and sometimes just ask what color that is...
