To those blind people who weren't always blind, what was the last sight you saw/remember? (self.Blind)

I don't remember. It's one thing slowly losing your sight, but going to sleep sighted and waking up blind, you don't exactly think that this is the last thing you're going to see.

Still got some sight, but last thing I remember when I had full vision was the surgeon sticking the catheter into my wrist, then the Midazolam kicked in.

Next thing I know I'm on the ward and most of my eyesight is gone.

Turns out I had a stroke during the procedure.

Gradually deteriorating vision .. it is a spectrum of sight. Technically, the last thing you would see is light, just vague light perception.

My last memory is from March 2014. I was at home talking to some friends on IRC about a prior event in which I got hit by a train. At that point my optic nerve was already so damaged that magnified high contrast text on a screen was all I could see, and I was having trouble reading the characters on the screen, not because they were too small but because there were so many missing spots in my field of view that my brain couldn't interpret the characters properly. This was the last time that I used a computer without a screen-reader.

Well all my issues really hit after a surgery to repair my retina. Now I always look at my mom and dad really close before I go back for an eye surgery in case something goes wrong and I go blind. After I look at them I shut my eyes and get wheeled down into the operating room with my eyes still shut. I do not open them until I fall asleep.
This is so the last thing I would see would be my parents faces. Considering I went almost blind after said surgery the last thing I truly saw was my parents faces. Thank god for that plan.

The last thing I took the time to focus on before I went in for my surgery were the trees. Fall in the Northeast is absolutely stunning, and it was hard for me to come to terms with the fact I'd never fully take in a beautiful scenery again.

I wish I remembered the last thing I saw clearly. I am not totally blind but very blurry and pixilated.
