If a blind person is placed in an area people would consider to have "creepy" vibes, would they be able to tell they were somewhere creepy? How? (self.Blind)
submitted by drjewlittle
Just had a huge conversation with someone trying to explain this concept to me. I was referring to somewhere like an abandoned "haunted" hospital or something of that nature vs a regular building or location. Would they be able to tell that there was something off about this place? They told me they could feel the "vibes". I need more explanation. For me, the feeling of "creepy " or "eerie" is mostly visual.

Personally I lack that kind of sensibility, so I doubt I'd feel creeped out. I'm also on the fence about the paranormal because I've never experienced anything that I couldn't explain. On one hand I tend to believe it, because I'm a pessimist and the existence of the paranormal and an afterlife is a bad thing in my opinion (I'd much rather cease existing after death), but on the other hand the paranormal simply doesn't make sense from a purely scientific perspective, so I don't really know what to think.

Probably.
If I'm in a depressing environment, I'll probably absorb and exhibit some of the dark energy, but can't tell what or why.

If I walk into a room full of depressed people, I start to feel depressed my self. Could be the tone of their voices or conversation. If I go to the butcher after Deer hunting season & stand around the skids of dead deer I feel sad & creepy, this could be due to smells. If I am in an quiet empty room, I can feel anyway I want by remembering smells, tastes, sounds.

Yes. The smell, the sounds, the feel, the air. Absolutely. It's not because once you go blind your senses become heightened like Daredevil, it because once you go blind you become more skilled with your other senses through necessity.
