KNFB Reader App $20!!! (self.Blind)
submitted by KelCougarMellen
One of the best OCR apps on the google play store is currently $20 when it usually costs $100. A very helpful tool for the visually impaired.

If you have an android phone, you should buy this. If you have an iphone, you should buy it at the $99 price anyways. If you don't have a smartphone, you should get a smartphone for this app.

This app is the real deal. Highly accurate, you can use it in many settings, and it audibly guides you into taking a better picture.

On the android version there is a free trial for 25 photos (must buy after) if you need convincing.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I take pictures of everything from textbook chapters to menus and just zoom in until the font is big enough for me to read it. I just downloaded this app and it is blowing my mind! :D I had no idea apps like this existed.

I also use the app Visor for a magnifying glass, the app big font to change the font size of most of the Android system, and an app called pie control to access these apps like quick draw McGraw. These apps may also help you in your day to day.
