Got some of the photos for Toronto CNIB's Mud Run this summer! (imgur.com)

So I finally managed to get some of the pictures from the Mud Hero Run we did this summer with some of our clients. In total, I think there was 10 clients (a mix of totally blind and low vision, as well as males and females), and over a dozen staff to assist. The race was 6 KM long over uneven terrain (hills, trees and trails), LOTS of mud and 18 obstacles (ranging from climbing through a tube, to sliding down a two story slide into mud, to climbing up large wooden structures). Everyone completed the run and it was exhausting but also empowering.

At one point, I was guiding a gentleman and we climbing over some shoulder-high walls. A group of other people were having some trouble getting over their wall... the leader from their group says "Just do what the blind guy is doing" ;) All the staff were impressed with the energy and commitment of our clients and can't wait to do it a third time next year!

EDIT: Huh... not sure how accessible Imgur is, but I tried to include a brief description below each pic. Hope that works :S

Last time I checked, imgur didn't support descriptions at all. As in, there was nowhere to input text. Apparently that's changed! Your descriptions work fine! Perhaps it's time to re-evaluate our imgur policy? In the meantime, I have removed the inaccessible on your post.

Imgur has the ability to put a name and a description under the picture, for at least a few months now. Not many people bother using it, though.

Hmmm. Maybe tagging imgur posts as inaccessible by default is still the right call, then, and have a mod remove it if they turn out to be described.

edit: changed the message you get after posting an imgur link to say that if your images turn out to have descriptions, the "inaccessible" flair will be removed.
