I am so sorry this is happened to your community too. I am a dyslexic and we get this kind of treatment chronically. I was recently banned myself, from the sub /r/raisedbynarcissists. A user posted a private message to the sub, asking people if the behavior was predatorial. It looked similar to the scammers and predators, that was praying on the gaming and dyslexic community. We had been dealing with this for a while. They accused the original poster of starting a witch-hunt and being a troll. I defended her, because I recognized the username. We did not hunt the person down, I am proud that she fought back with her words, and she had a disability too. I reported the user to the appropriate channels, but not to the mods. I have discovered this is usually a complete waste of time, on many of these forums. This can also be true, for some that claim to care. People do not understand what it is like to have a disability. You did the right thing! I am proud of you. I love hearing about others, which fight against the ableist mindset. Thank you

I just put this threw an OCR converter and then text-to-speech. This was not a simple task. Were are the messages, that the other users were sending them? Why did you just send me the ones he wrote, because I know he was not talking to himself. This seems deceptive; I would like to see the entire conversation, not just what you want me to see.

This seems to be an album with multiple images. I used ocr.space on all of them. Agreed, the screenshots are not clear enough for OCR. However, I don't think it's fair to say they're deceptive. They're just so blurry we cannot judge unless a sighted person decides to transcribe them. I can't say this is /u/waahht who is at fault here. OCR results follow.

Hello! I am looking for a raid group or guild raiding group that is going to be running Heroic Emerald Nightmare
Cenarius & Xavius tonight.
I'm looking for a guild or group that has ALREADY completed 7/7H and is not progressing. I've completed 7/7 heroic
each week it's been out but, this was the first week where I fell short.
I'm turning to reddit to hopefully find some potential people to raid with on a consistent basis that only usually need a
few spots filled each week to get the job done.
Already apart of a guild with real life friends that I'm not willing to leave. Just looking for a serious group without
having to change my guild name.
No Loot Councile I work 60 hours a week and manage to maintain a high level of raid. Someone who just logs onto
WOW for loot to just log off after doesn't deserve the same chance at loot. There's reasons blizzard created systems to
reward loot personally.
If your guild is using loot councile and still can't clear H 7/7 Nightmare you've the wrong people in your guild. Thank

dungeons. We usually end up short a DPS so you'd fit in there. You're welcome to come to our heroic clear tonight if
you wanna check us out. After that, if you decide you wanna stick around casually you can keep doing so.
or if you want to join us for mythic (and we like you), we can pay for your server transfer. We are pretty laid back
about progression in the sense that we accommodate people's schedules, consistently end on time, and don't demand
that players do anything substantial outside of raiding. But when we show up for raid we work hard and get shit done.
We have a lot of players who are new to raiding and we work to help them improve.

All he gave us was the ones the OP posted and I am not seeing/(hearing) the ones that the other users wrote. There are a Few other people. In some of the comments, it sounds like he is talking to himself. It looks like he copied and pasted the statements. I would like to see what the others wrote, not just what the OP said. If this person really was a troll, I would have ignored it and watched it blow over. However, there is something odd about this forum. The guy came here, because he feels his brother was miss treated and he is frustrated and tired of seeing this. There is nothing in the OP post, that suggest scamming/and or trolling. I have had my fair share of gas-lighting; were people make a rude remark and later victim blame the situation: I did not know... Also this never happened ... or you could have done this.... How do I know, if these other accounts were his, this could just be hear say. I am referring to the mods statement about the OP/brother had other banned accounts and is a notorious troll.

This mod is obviously not professional or sympathetic but I have a question: Why are you posting about this here? Your two best quotes from him don't make it seem like the mod knows that your brother is blind and if he does know, he's not saying anything about him being blind. That mod isn't being a great example, but in my opinion you are trying to turn this into something that has to do with your brother's vision which it isn't. I can't speak for your brother, but I would be offended if a family member was using my poor vision to try and gather sympathy or support for me in an unrelated matter.
That said, you should take the advice that some of the other people here offered: Reach out to the other mods of that sub and express your disappointment in that mod's actions and words. If it's support you are trying to gather, maybe remake this post on a sister-sub to the one you were banned from. If you do that, I would remove the mention of the actual mod's name as that might be considered witch hunting. Simply refering to him as 'one of the mods of the /r/wow sub' is probably okay.

This is really something that you and /u/waahht need to sort out between yourselves, or between you and the other MODS of /r/wow. The moderators of /r/blind can't do anything about this. Every community on Reddit is managed completely independently of every other community.

Hi! Thanks for chiming in in a professional manner. Unfortunately, I can't read your screenshot, so can't take it as proof of anything either way. I chose to allow the thread to continue because of comments attempting to be helpful and/or contribute value from /u/1000100001, /u/Dyshonest, and /u/VGFierte. Also, I do believe that "assume good faith" is important. I'd had no previous interaction with anyone involved, so didn't (and still don't) believe I have enough reason to actually lock or remove the thread. And ableism is a thing that happens both on Reddit (see the 2 or 3 spam/gibberish posting trolls we ban here daily) and elsewhere, so I didn't want to just shut down conversation about it right off the bat. Fortunately, we do have mods on our team with working vision. So I'll leave it up to /u/rumster, /u/bondolo, and /u/SophiaDevetzi to decide what should happen to this thread based on your post. However, thanks again for giving us your side of things, and doing your best to avoid bringing personal attacks here, in what is obviously a frustrating situation for you.

Oh, I agree that this is right on the borderline. If it had said "please upvote" in the title, it'd be gone. If it had mentioned your username in the post text, summoning you, it would be gone. If it had personally insulted you, rather than just claiming you did something bad, it'd be gone. I chose to mention your username in my comment, hoping you'd show up, because I wanted to know how you'd respond. And yes, you're convincing me that this thread and user probably do need to go. But I can't see screenshots, and know nothing about WOW, so just don't feel like I can or should make that decision. Plus, this is the largest sub I MOD, and this thread is the most drama we've ever had. So I really want to be careful to make sure we do the right thing here. Probably if (I hope not!) this type of drama gets more common, I'll develop a better sense of what should be done about it.

Seeing moderator from another sub just passing through, but I wanted to share that I'm really disappointed in that moderator's behavior. There are good and bad mods everywhere, but this an exceptionally poor reflection on that mod. I'm sorry that he treated you that way, mods get a lot of crap on Reddit but that guy is earning it. Clearly you can read and write, and that's almost all any subreddit can care about for intelligence requirements (except maybe /r/IAmVerySmart)
If you really want something to be done, try sending a private message to that subreddit or another mod there whom you see is active and might be trustworthy. Hopefully they come through and take care of the situation before the unsavory mod messes things up for even more people. If those means fail, you can send a PM to reddit.com and see if the admins will get involved. Note that they get **lots** of mail and their response could take a while, and even then I can't promise much of anything out of them (they might see fit reason to do something, they might not)

Thank you for bringing me back into the loop here. I had assumed the silence in my inbox meant people didn't notice/didn't care/Mods saw something one way or another and ended up removing one or more posts
Whether it turns out to be OP's fault or the Mod's fault, I believe that I'd still stand behind what I said about Moderation and vision-impaired citizens. I hope that a clear and peaceful solution is met soon :)

We've had similar incidents to what you're describing on our sub, and I don't even have to click on /r/wow to know that your subreddit is exponentially larger than the one I'm a part of. Some people.... just want to set things aflame for the sake of destruction and chaos. The good news is that it all blows over eventually, hopefully sooner rather than later

Not all moderators are like this. Reddit is basically a place of many communities. I have a visual impairment n I am a moderator of two sub-reddits n if amyone behaved this way they would be banned.
I am grateful that this sub-Reddit exists as its great that there is a place that explains how we use the internet. For yesrs I've not felt that I can mention my VI because when I do I get ignorant comments like "no you don't how are you able to type n see this," "you're just feeling sorry for yourself n looking for attention," "what you moaning about a minor eyesight issue for," and so on...
Do I would like to say thank you for this community n for explaining how we are able to do things.

It is amazing; how both of are communities have similar issues, with public perception. I get this a lot: "how can you read and write if you are dyslexic? you are just stupid and saying you have dyslexia." I like to keep up with assistive tech for the blind, because it usually helps people with learning disability's. In fact, they usually sale these types of products for both disabilities.
