My mother has been losing her eyesight for quite some time now and it is getting to the point where she's having a lot of difficulty using her phone. It's a super old school 2g phone with actual buttons. I've been looking into the Odin mobile brand but was wondering what you guys use and what has proven to be helpful?

Where does she live? (To get local resource ideas, country, state etc) I think iphone would probably be the best bet. Get her to learn voiceover, so she can also learn to use the smartphone functionality and to enjoy audiobooks on her phone.

I think most people here use either IOS or android. However, if your mother doesn't want to learn to use a touch screen and a screen-reader, that might not be ideal. I've heard good things about $1, but never used one hands-on myself.

I've known a few people who used Doro phones, but they've all switched to iPhones at this point in time. A back-lit screen with large numbers is really helpful.
