Blind people of Reddit, do you find cats cute? What kind of things so you think are cute? (self.Blind)

I woke up in the middle of the night last night and it was completely dark so I couldn't see anything. But my little cat Sora was there and she was soft and warm. I could feel her little ears and she was licking my hands like she always does and purring and snuggling. We have three cats but if course I knew it was her without having to see her.
I remember thinking how cute it was even without having to see her.
Anyone else out there like cats? I would love to hear what it is like to experience cats or dogs as a blind person.

Yes, I do. I have a cat, and love her to bits. Though perhaps I find her slightly more warm and cuddly and comfortable, when she's sleeping on top of me at night, than cute.

I am sighted, but my boyfriend is blind and he loves my black cat. When we first started dating, he told me he wasn't a pet person, but he quickly came around and now he even wants to speak to my cat every time we talk on the phone. :)

I've always loved cats. I currently have two, one of which is blind... so he relies a lot in sound too. I talk to him, tap on surface to tell "come here" and so on. My husband has told i use echolocation with him when i sleep, but it seems natural since i and my kitty rely on sound a lot. He is soft and my love bug, loving his lap time with me. No matter how bad a day that always cheers me hp.
