Because of the design of the sytem, this has the potential to help out more people compared to the Argus II. The Argus II works by stimulating nerve cells in the eye, while the Orion I works by stimulating the visual cortex in the brain. However, for a variety of reasons, direct brain stimulation is more difficult and more dangerous. They have a much harder path, but has much greater potential.
