Services in Spain (self.Blind)
submitted by aam22
Hello everyone,

I am an O&M instructor. I'm considering moving to Spain and I'm having trouble finding information on services and possible job opportunities. I want to know if the services are the same, if there are non profit organizations, or if the organization ONCE are the only ones that provide services.

Thanks!

Hi, I'm a blind Spanish person.

To all effects ONCE is the only organisation dealing with us. People get OM instruction by applying to ONCE. It has permanent employees which instruct its members. It is narrowly possible that there are local orgs doing something in this line, but I've never heard of them.

Their web page is very confusing to me. I haven't been able to find job postings, or specific locations where they might need instructors.

Yes, I was going to recommend La ONCE. They deal with pretty much everything for the blind in Spain.
