That's awesome. I know some transit agencies also offer cab vouchers now.

Paratransit is extremely expensive to transit agencies, and for customers probably 3 in 4 would be more satisfied and better served with a cab or uber voucher (that is cheaper) rather than dealing with typically awful paratransit systems (needing to book a day or more in advance, limited availability, having to wait for the bus for long windows of time, long rides, etc.)

Bad paratransit systems (most of them) are a real barrier to employment and social participation for disabled people who rely on them. Options like these are a good thing.
