Does dyslexia impact speech recognition or is it mainly the written word?

There is also audio dyslexia that involves hearing.

My dyslexia was diagnosed after learning braille because of my braille problems.

Several AT people i know know b/vi kids with dyslexia, so it turns out visual impairments (or blindness or deafness) don't prevent dyslexia.
You can still have a dyslexic brain or fingers or ears and be invisible to everyone else,.

That is fascinating and I had no idea how complex dyslexia actually is. I've only heard the term used to refer to reading and spelling.

Edit: spelling

If I take another way home, I am nearly lost. I failed the driving test three times: its like you can no longer feel the direction you are going and sometimes its the opposite. This was feeling and my hearing also has issues. Thankfully, it's no were as severe as my vision (reading and signs) and spelling.

Dyslexia is a neurological disorder; the reading and writing issue is just one of MANY.
