As many of you know I am Virtual Reality enthusiast and also believe it can be used in the medial field. Below are some alternatives to my software. It is important to try them all if possible to see what is the best method for you.
All the apps are free. I recommend trying all of them to see what best suites your phone and needs.

A: Yes although they are currently very low resolution and in monochrome there are FDA approved devices.
Argus II is the current model I personally would wait for the 3rd version as they are improving it everyday

eSight is available in Canada now, but the cost is pretty insane here as well (not covered under our health care plan). Their ads also feel a bit deceptive sometimes, I've heard a number of people complain about that.

Esight can be beneficial however make sure you take your time with the demo if you make an appointment. DO NOT LET THEM RUSH YOU INTO ANYTHING!
