Could someone recommend me a notepad I can write on and somehow feel where I am on the page? (self.Blind)
submitted by Indeedsir
I want to write letters and thoughts by hand, but cannot always see my pen and paper.

Do any of you know of a notepad or type of lined paper where the lines are embossed or are raised slightly so I can feel where my pencil is and count how many lines I have written so that I don't write over the same line several times?

Is there another option I can use single handed to write without going over the same piece twice? I am left handed and often cannot use my right hand at all.

Even a pad with a bar down the side that had different notches or something would make it simpler for me to feel how far down the page I am when I take my hand away.

Thanks

Hi there.

I am not visually impaired or blind, but I found this company called Independent Living Aids, and they seem to have what you are looking for.

$1

They have both raised lines paper, and also a board which allows you to draw or write and then turn the paper around and feel what you wrote/drew.

If you search for "raised line paper" online, you might also find other brands.

Hope that helps!

Also braille bookstore and maxiaids (or rnib store in uk) have raised lines paper

The 20/20 pen is like a sharpie of medium/large tip.
I've seen those raised line papers in some places, a very cool invention.
