Mean stupid people (self.Blind)
submitted by Antisocialbitch2
Yesterday my mother and I were driving around town and a blind man was walking across the street to go get groceries someone else driving honked at him and yelled at him to move his butt you could tell how hurt this man was by what the driver said later we saw this man in the grocery store we paid for him and gave him a ride home. So as someone that can see I'm sorry for all the insensitive idiots out there you have to deal with.

Thank you for caring about others. I appreciate it. This world is cold, so people like you are vital and dwindling, but had the man been sighted, would it have been bad for someone to honk and tell him to move his butt?

Drivers do get frustrated, and even though, that isn't very nice, was he moving slowly? Had the light changed. Might you have also told him to move along if he had vision? These questions are important, because it is way better to treat a blind person like an equal than to feel sorry for us because our life is so hard.

It can be hard, especially for newly blind people or those who have trouble adjusting, but for most of us, I'm happy to report that blindness is really just kind of a pain in the ass more than it is a disability. You have to take longer to get places, because you take the bus, you deal with people treating you like your disability is mental rather than physical, etc, but a lot of us get used to it.

Personally, I'm a pretty happy person. Walking and taking the bus don't bother me, especially if the weather's nice. Then, walking is pleasant, and I do it just to get out of the house.

The driver was not stopping at a stop sign and so she was in the wrong, he was walking just as fast as anyone , sadly in this town it's pretty common for seeing people to be extremely rude and insensitive I saw at my local goodwill that the cart person was blind and he was getting carts for people and this one lady shoved the cart into his legs laughed and said oops he fell and I helped him get up as he was a bigger guy and did need some help, I hate were I live because of how people are treated so I help as often as I can, I hope all of you who read this have a good day.
