Purple tinted glasses to decrease glare? (self.Blind)
submitted by coffee4jesus16
Has anyone tried these and what do you think? My local commission for the blind is really big believers of Irlens Syndrome, even though from the research I've done, seems generally debunked. But Irlens aside and tinted lenses does anyone use them just generally to decrease glare and filter light and a little better m for light sensitive eyes?

I've used 'plum' tinted glasses before and they did help cut the glare for me. The orange tint helped my differentiate things more, but they also made everything brighter.

I personally love using color overlays and tinted lenses, I feel like it makes everything a lot easier to read for me. I use yellow-tinted clip-on sunglasses over my regular glasses when I use my computer, and I use the color overlay feature on my iPhone (I usually set it to a blue-green kind of color). It all depends on what I have to do on a particular device. On my phone, I'm trying to take down the contrast because it hurts my eyes. On my computer, I'm usually writing or drawing so I need the yellow tint to keep my eyes from being too strained. I did use an overlay for a while but I recently started using the tinted lenses and I like that better for the computer.
