I edit videos and do some VFX stuff. I am considered legally blind and my vision is about 20/800 and only see out of men eye. What I use is a program called HitFilm. It is pretty much like all the other professional editing software out there. I don't really want to go to in-depth on the program because that would take a while.

As for technics I use. I sit extremely close to the monitor and move my head around to see different parts of the screen. My main tip is take some time am try to memorize what ever program you are using so you know where everything is at. I also learned some keyboard short cuts don't work for me, but they might work for others. I also sometimes use a screen magnifier program if I need it.
