I found this subreddit after watching the documentary Notes On Blindness. Can't believe I didn't know this existed before than, as someone who isn't blind yet but is slowly having deterioration in vision since the age of 3 I wrote a small article, well it's more of a collection of my thoughts regarding slowly going blind.
I can find a way of putting up and audio version if need be .

I haven't seen complete darkness in a couple of years (partially blind). I always see sparkly meon lights, even with my eyes closed. Sometimes, i wonder what it would be like to just sit in a dark room with my eyes closed and to just see black again

I wish blindness was just darkness and not this warping void that I can't actually focus on.
