Quick survey for blind and partially blind people. (self.Blind)
submitted by KongEdvard
Hey guys,
We are a group of 5 people, who are looking in to making it safer/easier for blind people walking around urban areas.

To do this, we must confine the problem that we are facing. To that end, we have made a survey that we hope you guys would fill out!

Here is the link to the survey:

The survey should take about 2 minutes. We hope you take the time to help us help you. Thanks!

Your survey seems to focus only on adaptations we as individuals can make. Have you considered maybe the larger problem lies with inaccessibility being a part of the environment and society? I don't have near as much problem getting around because of my "condition" as I do due to the environment being designed with only non-disability in mind.

Hi Fange,
We're fully aware of the fact that getting around isn't as much a problem with your condition as it is with society and the environment. Right now we're just trying to identify the problem that we want to solve. In other words, we want to figure out what is the problem with currently used aids. Asking people for their specific conditions is just for gauging the relationship between the severity of the condition and the aids used in those scenarios. When we ever done this and correctly identified the problem we want to solve, we will put out another survey or maybe do interviews that are aimed at building a product that solves the problem in correspondence with said people. I hope this clarifies our business plan for you. If you have another network or a community of blind or partially sighted people that you would recommend please do so. We would appreciate it a lot. Thank you for your interest.
