Locking Braille dots in place in IOS? (self.Blind)
submitted by okay-thislooksbad
I teach a blind student who has started using the iPad as her main classroom tool. Currently, she's having trouble with her hands drifting on the iPad, and the dots ending up off the screen. Most of the time, a good three taps in the middle for the screen will bring the dots back, but this can be inconsistent. The student also has a brain injury, so she can become quite distressed when the dots are gone, and it has been difficult to train her to keep her fingers in the middle of the screen. Does anyone have suggestions? I've tried having a strip of tape to indicate where her palms should sit when typing, but ideally, I'd like to lock the dots in place higher up so that they don't drift away so easily.

Thanks so much.

Unfortunately, I don't use Braille input, so can't help you. Have you tried applevis.com? Someone there might no.
