Recommended travel phone apps for blind travelers? (self.Blind)

Hi everyone, does anyone have any travel apps that you use for managing your travel plans and are known for easy accessibility? One of my roommates, who is blind, asked me for some recommendations. I personally use TripIt, but I've never had to experience it through screen readers or Voice Overs. Anyone else here had experience with TripIt or other similar travel apps that I can pass on to him?

TripAdvisor is pretty usable from what I remember. If your friend is willing to part with $30, BlindSquare is actually a pretty useful app -- it uses your location and tells you the places around you and gives you a general idea of where they are. Good for exploring new places.
