Making deaf friends? (self.Blind)
submitted by blindjo
I recently started a new job, and i've met a lot of cool people there, including this cute deaf guy. He's really cool and super funny! I'm legally blind and he's partially deaf (progressive disease, he lip reads). Does anyone have tips for being a blind person chilling with a cool deaf person? Would this post fit more on r/deaf?

I spoke to a friend of mine who has studied sign language. She says that there is a slightly modified version of sign language that is meant for blind people to use. If interested, she is willing to find out more for you and I'll write what she tells me.

Edit: If interested to find out more on your own, it is called tactile signing.

Yeah, it might fit better on r/deaf. Maybe just crosspost this link there.
