I had Rachel Flowers, a blind virtuoso multi-instrumentalist, on my gaming channel! (self.Blind)

I thought /r/blind would appreciate this. If you haven't heard of my channel, I do audio description for video games to bring them to a visually impaired audience. Recently I played Ephemerid, a game centered around music, with a special guest. The guest was none other than Rachel Flowers, who some of you have probably heard of. This is $1, if anyone's interested - the first song on there being an astonishing compilation of different musicians... i think they're *all* blind as well- their names are listed below the video. The lyrics to the song, Endless Enigma, seems to be about not caring what the haters think about you -starting at 2:35. Yet its interspersed with instruments - including Rachel Flowers' awesome piano solo at 6:06.

Awesome. She sounds like a great person to know - and to collabo with! - and know this might sound weird, but I love her laugh, its kind of happy and bubbly.

What did you guys collaborate on?

Also...you gonna watch her film when it comes out?

EDIT: Oops... did you mean you collaborated with Rachel Flowers or Ross Minor (ie Nighthawk321?)

Ross. The Ephemerid video is the first time I've ever met and collaborated with Rachel, but I've known Ross for a while now, pretty much since I started my channel. But yeah, I agree with you on the laugh. It's contagious.

r/audiogames is currently looking for new mods...

Also, it seems that some of the levels in this game may be playable by blind gamers, but not all (ie the spider level, as you would need to tell which is a bee - to go up- and which is a beetle - to pull it down.) Seems more geared toward visually impaired gamers though! Liking the music intergration as well.

She's an amazing musician. Check out some of her videos. I put a link to her channel in the video's description. Hard to believe she's only 23 with talent like that.

Nice. I usually post them when I wake up in the morning. I'm fairly early to rise. I hope you enjoy the next few playthroughs. I've got two premiering later this week. Banjo-Kazooie's final video is tomorrow.

Yeah - I literally just found $1- and what I couldn't believe was that she started playing piano at age 2! Amazing you got to meet her- and also the game is sweet.

I was just watching a video of hers, (I have some sight, but am classed legally blind in Australia, at least) and watching her keyboard technique, I absolutely believe that she's been playing since 2. My god she flies over the keys...
