A new app can be beneficial for the visually impaired. HearMeOut - the 'Audio Twitter' (self.Blind)

$1 is a FREE social app. It let's you record your messages (up to 42 sec each) and send/SHARE them via most social media platforms.

What do you think?

This might be better for users who are unable to type.

I'm not sure, what's the point if I can just make a text post?

The app enables you to record your voice message and post in in social media platforms **instead** of text.

Oh. I mean, I suppose some people may find some use out of that. It would just seem to be a little awkward, that's just my opinion though.

The app looks nice but is not accessible to the blind or visually impaired. I downloaded it on my iPhone and this was not tested with voiceover. #a11yfail

Definitely unnecessary, especially as we already type or dictate out the social media messages and have screen readers read them back to us with granular control so we can read them back character by character, word by word, line by line, with the ability to copy and otherwise edit text. Having to listen through a bunch of different voice clips when navigating social media would be super annoying, you might as well just be listening to a bunch of voicemail. I second the idea that this would primarily be useful for people who have trouble typing, although they have full access to dictation as well through various screen reader options. Dictation and text make it a lot easier to edit posts rather than having to constantly re-record something if you mess up.

$1 already does this.
