Blind baseball announcer creates 'a theatre of the mind' with his commentary (cbc.ca)

I'm all for employing blind people. But as a baseball fan who was born blind, I expect to be given one hundred percent accurate information about every play. I encourage everyone who enjoys baseball to contact anyone who employs this clown and protest. The rights of the blind to have employment do not overrule our rights to receive accurate descriptions of the play by play. What's next? Audio description of TV shows by the blind, where the completely blind audio describer just makes up what he thinks might perhaps be happening on screen?

Not gunna lie, read the topic as being about an announcer for the sport of blind baseball. Then I realised it was about a blind announcer for the sport of baseball.

Your original reading is the one that makes sense; reality, unfortunately, doesn't. Seriously, everything about this story just locks me up into an endless rage loop. Now I understand how those old men who devote the remainder of there lives to shrieking angrily at the TV news must feel. As soon as I get over my rage about how this guy is ruining the game for any blind listeners, I start getting enraged about how this moron is so damaging to laws like the ADA. The phrase "Blind baseball announcer" is the sort of ridiculous nonsense I'd expect someone from the alt-right to use to argue against equal employment. They'd probably follow it up with snark about "muh feels!" As soon as I manage to take a few deep breaths and get over that load of rage, I start thinking about how pretty much all baseball radio announcers are white men. Even women's baseball in this country has radio play-by-play done entirely by men. And yet, a blind guy, who is lacking the only qualification the job requires (the ability to see and call the plays) can somehow get hired. Yet women with perfect vision can't? WTF! What on earth kind of "equality" is this? STOP THE WORLD I WANT TO GET OFF! Then that brings me right back around to being enraged as a blind baseball listener again.
