Is there a BRL equivalent of "The quick brown fox..."? (self.Blind)
submitted by spicklesandwich
You know that little ditty that uses each letter at least once? Is there a BRL equivalent that also includes and, for, of, the, with, etc.? Conditional characters like 'de' vs 'dd' vs '.'?

Or somehow all the major word contractions per letter, or per prefix, or overall?

(For the uninitiated:) "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog."

If you wanted to practice just the letters, there is no reason why The quick brown fox wouldn't work. Contractions may be much more difficult, since ther are easily over 200 contractions. And I believe there may be even more with UEB.

Aye, that's what I'm wondering about.

On the other hand, I'm only looking at the very basic one-character contractions and the maybe 100 main words tops. And broken into smaller chunks that may be more manageable.

I'm not aware of one, but I've not been learning Braille for very long. I feel like such a thing would more likely be a paragraph than a short sentence.

Agreed. Started learning a few years ago, but I dropped it for quite a while. I'd just make one, but that sounds like a lot of work. Haha.
