Looking to Understand More (self.Blind)

I'm looking to connect with someone who is blind to have a better understanding of how they interpret the world, relationships, how they go about their days... basically, what the world is like for a blind person. I genuinely am just trying to understand this. I started reading about this in depth, but reading isn't the same as connecting with someone. If anyone is interested, please let me know.

Much of the time, it is the same as everyone else, while coping with vision loss. If you are really interested, you should consider volunteering at an organization that works with blind people, they can do some sensitivity training with you and you can talk to some people directly.

I am pretty busy so I can't make any promises about how responsive I will be, especially if your questions are dumb. I'm up for giving it a shot though. I'm sorry if I sound a bit jerkish, it's just that blind people are constantly approached by curious people, and we have to be selective and guarded at times.
