If you are a trivia geek this is for you (self.Blind)

I found this cool app on the appstore called HQ Trivia

It is a trivia game show live on your phone every week day at 3/9pm EST and 9pm EST on weekends

This game is more exciting due to the fact that you can win cash if you answer 12 questions correctly.

You get to win or split cash with other players if you get every question right.

How it works

A host will read the question out, and you get 10 seconds to tap the right answer (three
choices to pick from)

The question is also displayed on the screen but Voiceover is not accessible with it yet.

The buttons are also not labeled so you flick right for the first option, flick right for the second option, and flick right once more for the third option

There twitter is @hqtrivia if you want to dm them about accessibility. These are the same people who founded vine so I would think they would have no problem implementing this.

When you sign up, please use my code untrained so I can get an extra life to stay in the game if I get a wrong answer.

Sorry for the long post but if you need something cleared up comment

Unfortunately, you will never win anything. As I understand it, speed does count. And you are allowed to tap an answer before the host finishes reading the question. So sighted speed readers who can read the question on the screen faster than the host speaks will always beat you.

I actually came close to winning something but it's not because of time, I got the question wrong Because I didn't know the question. Usually you get about five seconds after the question is read to tap it.

Either way if I don't win anything the host is entertaining enough to just listen to the game

Right. But according to sighted friends, speed counts. Someone on your team needs to be the first person to get it right to win. That means you have between 2.5 and 4 seconds after the question is displayed on screen, to tap the right answer. It takes the host 8 or 9 seconds to read the question. So by the time he's done, everyone answering is out of the running entirely.

You’re friend is 100% wrong. As long as you get the answer correct you’re still in the running. Timing makes no difference.

Good to know!

Speed does count but getting the correct answer counts even more.

I have not had Any problems with the time running out, speaking as a totally blind person

But I have dmed them about the accessibility of it
