Hello! He can download books from Bookshare. They have tons of books in .brf format (braille) that can be loaded onto the BrailleNote. Depending on which model it is, it can be done directly through USB or through an SD card. If you want more info you can PM me.

You can download brf or Braille files from tsbvi.edu. Also state libraries have access to books in brf (Texas does, I believe it is connected to a national data base You can get a the Bible in Braille for free ( a lot of books, lots of space).

...this device takes text files in English and can convert them to Level 2 Braille, plus some other formats that probably won't help you. You can get text files from public domain sites like Gutenberg or Archive.org, but you can also covert ebooks in different formats like EPUB or mobi to text with programs like Calibre.
