$1? It's a free service. You upload a file or enter text, and they will email back to you (no spam) the words or file in braille, e-book, or .mp3 (audio) formats. If you upload a .pdf or image file, you also can choose to have it converted to a more accessible format (with tags so that it can be read by a screen reader, for example).
If you upload text to convert into braille, it's run through an automated system to convert it, and then they email the converted file back to you. The type of file you get back depends on what you selected for your braille options. Hopefully someone here can point you in the right direction.
