Republicans at it again, eh? No shick at all. I am just surprised it took this long to table the new previsions. Why take this long?
I actually know some blind people who voted for Trump and his idea of an office. I just don't interact with these types anymore. LOL.

As thoroughly ridiculous as it seems, I know several blind folks who voted trump back in November. I wonder if they are castigating themselves with their lawn white canes by now, or just waiting for me to come around and help. LOL anyway, it’s really dumb, to vote against ones best interest. Just saying.

There was a guy here saying we should all vote trump since he would employ blind people lol

Bunch of fucking assholes. I've been :working like mad to get up to speed on WCAG issues and fixes, pushing left and right with advocacy hoping that these fucking rules would finally become standardized, but no, it's all been pulled away for further evaluation. Or more plainly, pulled off the table to see how it can be monetized and not hurt the poor businesses and corporations shirking the law and ignoring us. More fuel to the fire, and I'm not letting up on any right wing asshole I encounter about this. The republicans just hate disabled people, and their waddling orange outhouse in office demonstrated that quite clearly during the campaign trail. Don't let them forget this.

More people should be aware of this.

I didn't vote for Trump mainly because I consider myself libertarian. These kind of regulations aren't a good thing. Forced compliance with standards that say your site has to validate or it isn't perfect, aren't necessary. Not only that but it would make a lot of developers think worse of us if we insist on all their sites validating. Not all developers would I'm sure, but I'd understand if they didn't like us because they had to do some extra work just to satisfy a test that doesn't mean much of anything for accessibility and/or usability. Accessibility is all based on someone's experience, it's completely relative. I may not be able to navigate a certain site but someone using a screen reader for the past 30 years, (whereas I've only been using one for like 17,) might be able to.

This is just wrong. There are objective standards for access, that developers can, and should be required, to meet. We can argue about how many of them there are, but arguing that there are none at all is just stupid misinformation. Then again, I've never known a blind libertarian capable of nuanced thought. Go live in your dream world where all ATM machines are inaccessible touch screens, audible lights don't exist, you don't have access to even basic education because your dream zero government doesn't require libraries and schools to make accommodation, you have no income support and no job because employers won't hire an uneducated blind person, and you can't even access basic medical services because the forms are print-only and nobody is required to help you with them. I hope you enjoy your short life, begging on the streets of libertarian wonderland.

Lol I could say the same for blind statists. None of you are cabable of thinking rationally. By the way I said Libertarian, not anarchist, there's definitely a difference! If you actually took the time to research them, you might be able to argue substantively instead of resorting to libel.

I have zero interest in wasting my time on arguments with someone who isn't clear on what libel actually means. All progress made in inclusion and accessibility for blind people has been thanks to strict regulations, and the resulting lawsuits. No business has ever made anything accessible to us without a lawsuit or a threat of one first. A blind libertarian is just so disconnected from reality that discussion with you is as useful as discussion with a flat-earther. You have no interest in actually examining the history of accessibility; you just state things that you want to be true, and pretend that they are. Similar to flat-earth believers, scientologists, etc.
