Looking for a blind person to review my website (self.Blind)
submitted by nukeio
There aren't that many pages, but I want to make sure it is accessible after being convinced by a friend that ablism is the default mode of Silicon Valley types.

What would it cost to have a blind person review my site a write up some quick notes on its usability for the blind? I'm struggling to find anyone on Upwork.

Ideally I would be looking for someone I can direct others to because I know a lot of web developers.

Thanks in advance!

Hello. I am blind and have been using screen readers, (the software that blind people use to navigate websites,) for around 18 years.

I know how to navigate the web and what to do and what not to do when it comes to blind people and accesible websites. I will review your website for free. Please PM me with the website, the people you'd like me to get in touch with and all that.

Hi,

It sounds like you already have someone to test the website in question, but I might be interested in any future testing. I have been doing accessibility testing professionally for several years now, and I currently work as an accessibility tester for a university. I am afraid I don't have the time to test for free, but I'm sure we could work out a reasonable price.
