Study on navigating public spaces as a visually impaired person (self.Blind)
submitted by PracticalResearcher
Hello all,

As a part of a University assignment, we are conducting research on possible designs solutions for a device meant to aid visually impaired people in navigating public spaces. We are very interested in gathering data on how you feel and experience public navigation and traveling, and would love to get your feedback on this questionnaire.

Our goal is to design a product that utilizes real-time artificial intelligence technology to potentially revolutionize the way people with visual impairments navigate public spaces.

All collected data is anonymous, and will only be used for research purposes in this study. Any further questions or comments are welcomed and appreciated!

For the fourth question, the terms usually used as "Guide dog" and "mobility cane" or "white cane".

For the eleventh question, one option missing is "Having an Orientation and Mobility instructor teach me". That's a teacher who specializes in teaching travel skills to people with vision loss (That is what I do, btw).
